Do you consider that most of the EPP students have had English abilities that match with the EPP
standard? In my opinion the answer about that question is No. Because every student have many output to learn
about EPP. So that’s make different English abilities after learn EPP and match with the EPP standard. Especially
with online learning, many students are complacent with learning, they are very less aware of studying or
reviewing EPP. There are several factors that influence the topic, many things need to be considered to provide
encouragement so that EPP students become better in the future.

The first reason regarding the topic is because many students don't know about grammar, they don't learn
more about grammar either. Coupled with online learning makes students no challenge in re-learning the material.
Even though grammar is very important to make fluency in speaking English, and make it easy for us to know
difficult words in English. Not only from there, another thing that makes us obliged to study grammar is because so
that we are not shy in speaking English properly and correctly. Even though in EPP it is required that we speak
good and correct English to other lecturers and students within the scope of EPP

The Second reason is because students who do not want or rarely discuss previous learning to be studied
again. Actually, there are many things that need to be re-learned, such as difficult words, grammar, pronunciation,
or even asking questions about assignments. However, more students attend classes, only briefly attend classes, and
are not studied again. At least if they don't want to be questioned by their lecturers, they can ask their classmates.
From the second reason we can see that indeed we have not been able to meet the standards of the EPP. We need a
lot of improvement in studying this EPP to make us able to meet the standards of the EPP

And the last reason is because students do not want and rarely want to know about new things. There are
many things that students need to know about English. such as difficult words that are rarely read and studied.

Don't be underestimated, we can use these new words at any time there is a test that requires us to know the new
words. and we can add new vocabulary from what we have learned before. not only new words that we need to
know, we also have to look for new things about EPP such as trying to string words so that we are fluent in
English. not only in writing, but also in the process of pronouncing to be fluent in speaking and having
conversations with other people.

From that 3 reason we can see why the most EPP student cannot have had English abilities that match with
the EPP standard. There are many things to know and develop apart from these 3 topics. These 3 topics are just a
few examples of factors that occur. Therefore, we as students need to consider which things need to be done to
support our English proficiency in the future. With these many factors, don't make us unable to become better at
speaking English. What we need to know as students is to always try to be someone who is better than before
