Greetings IITH community,

As communicated earlier, IITH has informed the mess caterer to provide a cashless and contactless ordering platform for
booking mess extras and packed food. As an interim arrangement, the Foodmonk app was floated previously.

Now an improved platform Rekord will be introduced to replace Foodmonk. On the whole, it costs 6% per transaction for
the maintenance of the app. Caterers will bear 4.82% while the remaining 1.18% will be charged as a convenience fee
from diners (same charges as Foodmonk app).

Following are the advantages of Rekord over Foodmonk:

> Available for both iOS and Android users
> Multiple payment options
> Easy refunds
> Easy access to caterer for feedback related to extras
> Whatsapp support for issue resolution
> Improved interface with the accordion menu for easy access to different sections

Android users will be directed to install the app on clicking the link. Once installed, the caterer link through which the app
is installed will be available for booking. To add the second caterer, click on the second link. iOS users will be directed to
a web page based book on clicking the link. iOS users can bookmark the pages redirected by the above links on the
browser.

Foodmonk will be decommissioned and orders will be taken through only Rekord app from 8th Feb 2021
(Monday).

Note:
1. The Foodmonk users who are eligible for the refunds (amount available in the Foodmonk wallet) will receive the money
to the UPI ID through which the payment is made in 10 business days.
2. M/s R Gouras (UDH) shall start serving extras & packed food after a few days.
3. Updated Menu can be accessed through the gymkhana website
4. Please do follow social distancing norms in the mess
5. Please carry your water glasses/tumblers to the mess, refrain yourself from using paper glasses and help us make the
institute more eco friendly & clean
