Teaching Experience
Extended Practicum II - 12 weeks- Teaching 100% for 5 weeks Jan - April 2021
Grade 6 - Crestwood School, Medicine Hat, AB
In this class I taught 24 students, 3 of which had IEP's and two ELL students. Students have varied
reading and writing abilities and require differentiation. I planned my own units, lessons and
assessments.

Practicum I - 5 Weeks - Teaching 50% for 3 weeks Nov- Dec 2019


Herald Elementary School, Medicine Hat, AB
I taught ELA, science, social, physical education, and art classes. I had 18 students in this
classroom, a large number of which were at a pre-primer reading and writing level which required
a lot of differentiation. I created my own units and lesson plans and worked on classroom
management

ARED 310 Field Experience: - 5 weeks - 15 hrs in Classroom Oct - Nov 2018
5th Grade - River Heights Elementary - Medicine Hat, AB
This practicum was art focused. My partner teacher and I taught art class for 2 hours a week to a
Grade 5 class. We created an art project which not only met art curriculum outcomes, but was
integrated with other curricular outcomes that the teacher was working on.

Supported the principal to deliver the Program of Studies to students. Due to the unique nature of
the position. I was allowed to plan some content and delivered most content.

This practicum was literacy focused and I spent most of my time working with a leveled reading
group who were behind their grade level. I also worked with running records.
