FOUR FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT

Fundamental Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in
the world, from birth until death.
These basic rights are based on shared values like dignity, fairness, equality, respect, and
independence.
These values are defined and protected by law.

UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (UDHR):


The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a historic document which outlined the rights
and freedoms everyone is entitled to.
It was the first international agreement on the basic principles of human rights.

FREEDOM

INTRODUCTION

 Right to freedom is a fundamental right that is provided to every person of the world or
any state.

 This fundamental right state that every person has the right to speech and expression,
right to form associations and reside in any part of the country. right to perform their
own practices etc.

 This fundamental right also protects the people from the injustice done by the state.

According to Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR):


Everyone has the right to freedom of speech, expression, religion and freedom of assembly
and association;
Freedom of Speech and expression

 Freedom of speech and expression is the right of people to express their opinions
publicly without governmental interference.

 This right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive
and impart information and ideas through any media

 The right doesn’t extend to hate speech, advertising, and a few other instances.

Freedom of Religion

 Freedom of religion is the freedom of an individual or community, in public or private,


to manifest religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance.

 This right extends to any religious belief, but not in the practice of all religious activities
(for example, ones that involve breaking other laws).

Freedom of assembly and association

 Freedom of assembly and association is the right to form and be part of a trade union,
a political party or any another association or voluntary group.

 Nobody has the right to force you to join a protest, trade union, political party, or
another association.
EQUALITY
 Equality means that all people have the same worth and must be treated equally,
regardless of e.g., ethnic background, gender orientation, or functional impairments.
 Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the
most of their lives and talents.

According to Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

 Everyone is born free and equal in dignity and rights.


 Right to Equality ensures equal rights for all the citizens.
 The Right to Equality prohibits inequality based on caste, religion, place of birth, race,
or gender.
 It also ensures equality of opportunity in matters of public employment and prevents
the State from discriminating against anyone in matters of employment on the grounds
only of religion, race, caste, gender, descent, place of birth, place of residence or any
of them.
