An adverb clause is a subordinate clause that modifies a verb, an adjective, or an adverb. It can answer any of the following
questions about the words they modify: When? Where? In what way? To what extent? Under what conditions? Or Why? An
adverb clauses begin with subordinating conjunctions.
Examples: Put the package wherever you find the room. ( Adverb clause modifying verb: put ) ( Put where? )
