The details of syllabus and relevant Books/Materials in respect of the above tests are available in the
examination cell website (http://exam.tnebnet.org/examcell ).
Eligibility: Only the employees of TANGEDCO/TANTRANSCO are eligible to apply for the appropriate
departmental test. The candidates have to upload either their permanent departmental ID card or a temporary
departmental ID card with present designation and address of the working station duly signed by the respective
Class I officer. The temporary ID card obtained should be used for the May 2021 Examination purpose only.

Fees: An amount of Rs.500/- per test along with Rs.90/- (18% GST) & Bank Service Charges as applicable has
to be paid only through online (net banking & Debit Card / Credit Card).

Important Dates
Opening of Application for Registration- Monday 15th March , 2021
Computer Based Test
Closing of Application Friday 16th April, 2021
Last date for fees payment Monday 19th April, 2021
Generation of Hall Ticket Friday 07th May, 2021
Exam Date – Computer Based Test Saturday 22nd May, 2021
Venue, examination timings will be intimated in the Hall Ticket.
Change in the dates if any, will be intimated in the examination cell website
Note:
1. 100 Objective type questions for all Departmental tests (Open book test) through CBT.
No revaluation and re-totalling.
2. Hall ticket will be sent only through online and not by post.
3. Examination fee of Rs.500/- + Rs.90/- (18% GST) + Bank service charges as applicable collected
per test is non-transferable and non-refundable.
4. Mode of Payment:
 Payment has to be made through online only (net banking & Debit Card / Credit Card)”.
 The candidates have also to pay the GST & Service charges as applicable to the bank.
5. The hard copy of the application need not be sent to this office.
6. Employees who are essentially required to pass the Departmental Test to become eligible for
promotion as per TNEB Service Regulation (listed in Annexure) shall only apply for Departmental
Test.
7. Candidates should bring the printed copy of the hall ticket and department identity card, failing
which the candidates will not be allowed to write the exam.
8. Payment of Exam fees before the last date is the responsibility of the individual only.
9. Candidates who will retire before the date of exam are not eligible to apply.
