Lip cream contain wax, oils, and emollients that evenly disperse the color onto your lips.

They
often just sit on top of the lips. And when the wax and emollients wear off, some lip cream leave
a stain. Lip cream can also come in very opaque formulas that completely cover the natural color
of your lips

Lip tints, on the other hand, have a thinner consistency. They also have emollients, but the
emollients usually disappear quickly and leaving only the pigment on your lips. Lip tints feel like
nothing on the lips and are thus very comfortable. However, most lip tints only leave a
translucent stain on the lips. This means that the color of the lip tint is affected by the natural
color of your lips.

Differences

1. One difference between lip tint and lip cream is the texture. Lip tint has a more liquid
texture. While lip cream has a thicker texture. Lip cream may be similar to lipstick but
with a more liquid texture.
2. Lip tint is usually used for women who want to look natural. By using lip tint that has a
thin and light texture, you will feel like you are not using any lip products. For lip cream,
the results are more matte or soft matte. Because of its creamy texture, this lip product
can cover up the entire original color of your lips.
3. Lip tint is lasts longer than lip cream. Because, lip cream is an oil-based product that will
disappear faster when you consume foods that contain oil. While lip tint tends to be more
resistant with oil because lip tints is a products that are water-based.
4. Most lip tint products are cheaper than lip cream. For the example Maybelline, it has both
lip cream and lip tint. The price for the lip cream is Rp. 90.000 and for the lip tint is
Rp.50.000. This is due to the basic ingredients of both, lip tint also does not provide a
thick color effect. Lip tint can also be more efficient than lip cream because it is more
long-lasting. You only need to use it once for the whole day. While lip cream must be
frequently touched up every three to four hours.

For me, both have their advantages and disadvantages. I use both depend on what I need or
events that I will attend. Sometimes, I will combine the two products for my lip to make a better
results.
