The makeup

The concept of makeup refers to the act and the result of applying makeup or make-up:
that is, using cosmetic products to change the appearance or beautify the face or other
part of the body. The substance used for this purpose is also called makeup.

For the use of makeup, different instruments are necessary. Among them are:

● Moisturizer for the face, which helps you remove excess fat from the face.
● Primer for the face, helps to better fix the makeup and makes it possible for the
makeup to last throughout the day.
● Concealer, hides dark circles and imperfections.
● Base, which are both in powder and liquid.
● A brush or sponge to apply all the products.
● Powders, including blushes, bronzers and/or translucent powders.
● Eyeshadow or eyeliner; and mascara.
● Gloss or lipstick.
● Eyelash curler.
● Pencils, pomades or shadows to color or fill in the eyebrows.

Makeup styles

1. Day makeup: As its name indicates, this is the makeup that you apply when you go
out to do your daily activities. It is usually easy to apply and quite simple, since it
generally consists of a first phase with a light base and a soft tone. However, you can
work it up a bit more and include blush or lipstick to give it a fuller look. You can also
use it to correct skin imperfections such as blemishes, dark circles and acne, or if you
want to hide your freckles.

You can also top it off with a lash highlighter that matches your hair color. A brown
highlighter goes with light or reddish hair, and a black highlighter goes with dark hair.
But generally speaking, this makeup can be used with any kind of product, as long as
they all have the same quality of manufacture and are suitable for your skin tone.
2. Theatrical makeup: From here on, the intensity of the makeup rises considerably
since, at least in this case, it is necessary to use more condensed and saturated
products because you must opt for a pigmented, long-lasting look that exaggerates the
wearer's facial expressions.

As its name suggests, this is used in plays or musical recitals where the actors must put
on makeup to represent a character.

In these cases, it is generally recommended to highlight the eyes with shadows that are
the same color and tone as the iris, it will create a mesmerizing effect. Intense lip
shades are also recommended, but this will depend on the context and considerations
of the make-up artist.

Among the most used colors are the palette of gold, brown and black.

Blush is also very common, but unlike the previous posts, here the blush is pigmented,
has saturated tones, leaves a matte finish. However, sometimes the blush is the same
shade as the lips. Finalizing all these details will depend on the final appreciation of the
make-up artist.
3. Night makeup: If day makeup is usually used for routine activities, evening makeup is
used to go out to parties, weddings or other more glamorous events. Now, night
makeup always seeks to build elegant and somewhat charged looks. For this, the most
common is to use intense colors, mix them as you think appropriate and experiment
with them. That they are very intense will not matter, because the light dims all the
makeup.

Here the shadows should not be the same tone as the iris, since this makeup stands
out more for creating a chiaroscuro effect where complementary tones are used. Added
to that, it is recommended that the lips be red or fuchsia, but with vibrant tones.

On the other hand, it is important that the powder on the cheekbones is of the same
range as the applied lipstick so that the whole set has harmony.

You can also add an eyeliner that gives your look more intensity.
Of course, keep in mind that if you recharge your eyes with intense colors, then your
lips should be lighter and vice versa. As I told you, chiaroscuro matters a lot here.
