George Washington was the first
President of the United States. Abraham
Lincoln was the 16th U.S. President.
Abe grew up poor in a log cabin, but
George grew up in a mansion and was rich.
They are both on U.S. coins. Abe is on
the penny, but George is on the quarter.
Both of them were great leaders!

Abraham Lincoln and George Washington
George Washington and Abe Lincoln were Presidents of
the United States. George led the Revolutionary War and
became the first U.S. President. Abraham Lincoln was the
16th President of the United States and helped stop slavery.
While Abe grew up poor in a log cabin, George was
raised in a mansion and was wealthy. Before becoming
Presidents, Abe was a lawyer and George was a soldier.
Abe is remembered with the Lincoln Memorial, and
George with the Washington Monument. They are also on
U.S. coins. Abe is on the penny, but George is on the
quarter. Both of them were great leaders!
