Jan makes jelly. “We need more fruit,” says Jim.
Jim makes jam. “Jog over to Bob Bear’s house.
Jan puts jelly in jelly jars. It’s just a short journey.
Jim puts jam in jam jars. Bob Bear has lots of juicy berries.”

Jan jogs as fast as she can. “I’m making juice,” says Bob.
She gets to the edge of the jungle. “He’s squashing our berries,” says Bev.
She sees Bob with his friend, Bev. “I can do that job for you,” says Jan.
Bob is jumping up and down. “Jim can make juice and jam.
“What are you doing, Bob?” says Jan. I can make juice and jelly.”

They get to Jim’s Jam Place.
They put the berries in a cart. “What big, juicy berries!” says Jim.
“Let’s play a joke on Jim” says Bob. Just then Bob jumps out.
“I’ll hide under the berries. Jim’s fork hits Bob’s jaw.
I’ll jump out and surprise Jim.” Jim’s spoon hits a jug of jam.

The jug of jam drops on Bob’s head. Bob goes home with two jugs of juice.
Bob is covered in red jam. Bev goes home with three jars of jam.
Jim, Jan, and Bev like the joke. Jim has four jars of new jam.
Bob does not think the joke is funny. Jan has five jars of new jelly.
