AUTOMATIC TOLL E TICKETING SYSTEM FOR

TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
INTRODUCTION:
This project brings out a stop less tollgate using embedded application. The
vehicle need not wait for the toll collector and the amount is automatically
deducted when the vehicle crosses the toll gate.

DESCRIPTION:

The system uses rfid tag with a zigbee transceiver and pic microcontroller.

The RFID tag is placed under the car and the reader is placed on the road as
shown above. When the vehicle crosses the card number is read in the controller
and it is sent to the processing segment where the balance is checked and it is
deducted depending on the vehicle type. The vehicle type is chosen from the
keypad. The reply acknowledge is sent to the other side and the deduction is
indicated there.

The zigbee module supports full duplex communication and the RFID tag holds an
unique value for each thus avoids duplication

ADVANTAGE:

This reduces the human usage and implements automation and saves time.
