PTZ-BOX FCD Configuration Introduction

How to establish the connection:

1. 2 types to communication between Laptop and FCD.
a） RS232：how to make the cable of configuration ：

b) Infrared cable

2. confirm the comm port：

procedure as folllow：
（1）right click “my computer” and open the “manage”

（2）check the device manager->port->communication port .confirm which comm. Port your
computer connected.(the example COM1 is connected)
3. confirm the device id ,Bd rate and communication protocol of the PTZ BOX FCD

（1）press the and enter into the main interface of PTZ-BOX. Press and enter
into Device Parameters
(2)press the and then enter into the interface of communication.

(4)check the parameters of communication interface.(the IR(infrared) Bd rate of the example is

9600 device id is 0,0 and the communication protocol is VTC)

4. confirm all above and then open the software.

 input the comm. Port ,the device
id and communication protocol
5. enter into the sofeware and input the comm. Port ,the device id and communication
protocol.as follow

6. confirm the Bd rate

click options-> communication channels

Select the COM1 and input the Bd rate .

7. confirm the connection
after finishing all the procedure above click readout->actual values

When appear the interfacea as above .which means that you have connected the PTZ-BOX
already.

How to download the modbus map:

1. Click Readout---Parameters

2. Appear the dialog box

3. Readout completed. Click the Smile Face to shift to below interface.

4. Right click ‘Calculated measurands’, click ‘address map of modbus’

5. Select the correct modbus map file(*.DB), then open it.

6. Then you will see an additional modbus map as the right side of below photo

7 Click Save into device.

8. Finish.
