A. Inspection of the Breathing Hood Container
(1) Do a check of the serviceability indicator of the foil bag through the inspection window of the stow
age box. The indicator is yellow if the equipment is serviceable.
(2) Inspection of the stowage box

(a) Do a check of the surfaces of the stowage box for nicks, cracks, dents, chafing and deform
ation.

(b) Make sure that the inspection window is not matt and has no scratches.

(c) Make sure that the seal of the stowage box is not damaged. If the seal is damaged, open th

(3) Do a check of the date of manufacture on the identification plate. Make sure that the equipment is
in its service life limits (10 years).
(4) Replace the protective breathing equipment and the tamper seal Ref. AMM TASK 35-31-52-920-80
1 if:
- The yellow indicator is not shown, or
- The date of manufacture of the equipment is out of its service life limits, or
- The foil bag is not vacuum tight.
