This document includes installation instructions and your usage license.

Installing
To use your new Dynamic Desktop wallpaper:

1. We recommend you move or copy the wallpaper

(WALLPAPER-NAME.heic) to your Documents folder
or another safe location you can easily find.

2. Open the folder where you copied the wallpaper.

Right-click (control-click, two-finger click) on the
wallpaper file and select “Set Desktop Picture” at
the bottom of the pop-up menu. If you do not see
“Set Desktop Picture” look under the “Services…”
fly-out at the bottom.

You can also set the wallpaper through the System

Preferences / Desktop panel however that method will
not work properly on macOS Catalina. Setting with right-
click is the only way to set such that the wallpaper will be
dynamic in Dark Mode. More details on the next page.

Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing problems with the
wallpaper matching time please follow
these steps:

1. Open System Preferences, Desktop &

Screen Saver from the Apple menu.

2. Select the Catalina or Mojave Dynamic

Desktop wallpaper.

3. Select “Dynamic” from the drop-down

next to the wallpaper thumbnail.

4. Close System Preferences and set the

wallpaper you downloaded again.

Dynamic Desktop and Light/Dark/Automatic Modes

On macOS Catalina you can select one of three

display modes in System Preferences/General. 

On macOS Mojave there are only two modes
(Dark/Light). 



Which mode you select impacts how your Dynamic Desktop will behave. This is a bit
confusing but will make sense after a while. These rules apply to all 3rd party
Dynamic Desktops.

LIGHT MODE: On macOS Catalina and Mojave, when Light mode is on, Dynamic
Desktops generally “Just Work.” As long as Mojave or Catalina default wallpapers are
set to “Dynamic” everything is good.

AUTO MODE: On macOS Catalina, when Auto mode is on, 3rd party Dynamic
Desktops will behave dynamically during the day but show a specific dark image at
night. To the best of our knowledge there is no way around this behavior.

DARK MODE: On macOS Catalina and Mojave, when Dark mode is enabled, 3rd party
Dynamic Desktops can remain dynamic by doing two things:

1. Follow the instructions above to set the Mojave/Catalina wallpapers to Dynamic.

2. Set the wallpaper using Finder by right-clicking on the file and selecting “Set as
Desktop Picture” as described above.

On macOS Catalina if you set the wallpaper through System Preferences while in Dark
Mode you will be unable to make it dynamic. It must be set by the right-click method.

If this still fails try restarting your Mac.

NOTE: If you put a significant number of Dynamic Desktops in your Pictures

folder, the System Preferences panel for Desktop/Screen Saver will take longer to
load.

licensed to use the 24hr Wallpaper Dynamic Desktop Wallpapers.

2. Licensee acknowledges that this is only a limited nonexclusive license. Licensor is and
remains the owner of all titles, rights, and interests in the wallpapers and images.

3. This License permits Licensee to use the wallpapers on any computer system they use.
Licensee will not give copies away copies to others, allow others to make copies, or post
copies on any on-line service.

4. Photography used in the wallpapers may not be used in any other context. The license
does not cover any use other than as desktop wallpaper. All photography is copyright
Jetson Creative, LLC.

5. These wallpapers are not subject to a warranty of any kind. They may have flaws and faults
that we can not predict at this time. They may become incompatible with future versions of
macOS.

6. LICENSOR IS NOT LIABLE TO LICENSEE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING

COMPENSATORY, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES, CONNECTED WITH OR RESULTING FROM THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT OR
LICENSEE'S USE OF THIS SOFTWARE. Licensee's jurisdiction may not allow such a
limitation of damages, so this limitation may not apply.

7. Licensee agrees to defend and indemnify Licensor and hold Licensor harmless from all
claims, losses, damages, complaints, or expenses connected with or resulting from
Licensee's business operations.

8. Licensor has the right to terminate this License Agreement and Licensee's right to use
these wallpapers upon any material breach by Licensee.

9. Licensee agrees to return to Licensor or to destroy all copies of the wallpapers upon
termination of the License.

10. This License Agreement is the entire and exclusive agreement between Licensor and
Licensee regarding this Software. This License Agreement replaces and supersedes all
prior negotiations, dealings, and agreements between Licensor and Licensee regarding
these wallpapers.

11. This License Agreement is governed by the law of Oregon applicable to Oregon contracts.

12. This License Agreement is valid without Licensor's signature. It becomes effective upon the
earlier of Licensee's signature or Licensee's use of the wallpapers.
