• HE ALSO SET AN ALTITUDE RECORD OF 360 FT
• HIS MACHINE CARRIED 60 PASSENGERS
• THE WRIGHT BROS BECAME MOST FAMOUS IN THE WORLD
• OFFERS CAME ROLLING IN FROM OVER THE WORLD

• THE BROS FOUND THEMSELVES IN LITIGATION ESPECIALLY THE FRENCH.
ONE LITIGATION LINGERED ON TILL 1914
• WILBUR DIED IN 1912
• ORVILLE CONTINUED AERONAUTICAL RESEARCH
• HIS RELATIONSHIP ENDED WITH THE WRIGHT COMPANY IN 1915
• IN 1943 SMITHSONIAN FINALLY ACCEPTED WRIGHTS TO BE THE FIRST
MACHINE OPERATED SELF FLYING MANNED AEROPLANE
