Installing a PXB800 Ancillary
Expansion Box
The PXB800 is supplied with a mounting frame
that is separated from the housing. The neces-
sary fixings are supplied also. Attach the
mounting frame to a PROFILE panel or to a
PBB801 battery box using locating hooks.

attached.

To install the PXB800 ancillary expansion box,
complete these steps:

marking the four required drill holes for the
fixings (item 2 in Fig. 2).
3 Drill holes in the four positions marked in step
2. Ensure that the drill holes are the correct
size and depth for the supplied fixings.
4 Secure the mounting frame in position with
the locating hooks engaged between the
PXB800 mounting frame and the housing it is
being fixed to.
5 Press down the spring latch tab and pull the
top of the door outward to remove the door of
the PXB800 (item 4 in Fig.1) 

Note: Disconnect the earthing wire before
you fully remove the door (item 3 in Fig. 1).
6 Attach the PXB800 ancillary expansion box to
the secured mounting frame. Engage the
hooks at the top of the housing with the slots
(item 3 in Fig. 2) in the mounting frame.
7 Secure the housing with the supplied screws
(item 9 in Fig. 1). Use sufficient torque when
tightening the screws to ensure all fixings are

Installing the PZ4x and PZ8x
Zonal Display
To fit the zonal display to the door of the
PXB800, complete these steps:
1 Press down on the door spring catch and pull-
ing the door outwards (refer to item 6 in Fig.
1) to remove the door of the PXB800 housing.
Care should be taken as the earth link cable
connecting the door to the housing is short.
2 Disconnect the earth cable and remove the
door (item 3 in Fig. 1).
3 Remove the nuts and washers securing the
blanking piece bracket to the door. The
bracket and blanking pieces are not needed to
mount the zonal display (items 5, 7, and 8 in
Fixing instructions Doc. version 1.0

the zonal display.
4 The zonal display is attached to the door by

Mounting holes are provided to secure ancillary
modules to the plate attached to the back of the
PXB800 housing (refer to item 11 in Fig. 1).
There are holes in arrangements to match the
various modules that can be fitted in the hous-
ing.
Fit the modules by either using press-fit plastic
stand-offs fitted to plain holes or pillars screwed
into the threaded holes in the modules fixing
plate and screws to attach the modules to the
pillars (refer to Fig. 4).
Some third-party modules require DIN rail
length of DIN rail suitable for the quantity and
type of module to the module fixing plate.

The fitting of modules is made easier by
removing the door. See step 1 in the section
entitled “Installing the PZ4x and PZ8x Zonal Dis-
play”.
