Installing and Removing The Subrack Anti-Dust Screen
Installing and Removing The Subrack Anti-Dust Screen
3. Push the fan unit into the subrack slowly, and fasten the screw on the fan unit
panel, as shown in Figure 6-20.
Generally, the anti-dust screen has been installed in the subrack before delivery,
and users need not install it on site. However, cleaning and maintenance of the anti-
dust screen is required at regular intervals. In this case, users need to remove and
install it on site.
See Figure 6-21 for the appearance of the subrack anti-dust screen.
The handle of the subrack anti-dust screen is located on the bottom of the screen.
Figure 6-22 illustrates the components of the anti-dust screen.
The anti-dust screen is used together with the shield plate. Figure 6-23 illustrates
the components of the shield plate.
Procedure
1. Hold the handle on the bottom of the anti-dust screen, and pull the anti-dust
screen outward gently to squeeze the clips on the front baffle of the shield plate,
as illustrated in Figure 6-24.
2. When squeezed, the clips on the front baffle generate a reverse spring force.
Pull down the anti-dust screen gently so that the anti-dust screen can detach
from the rear baffle of the shield plate, as illustrated in Figure 6-25.

3. Go on to pull down the anti-dust screen so that the screen can detach from the
front baffle of the shield plate, as illustrated in Figure 6-26.
Procedure
1. Hold the handle on the bottom of the anti-dust screen. Attach the front baffle
side of the anti-dust screen to the front battle of the shield plate. Then pull the
anti-dust screen outward gently to squeeze the clips on the front baffle of the
shield plate, so that the anti-dust screen can fit snugly into the front baffle, as
illustrated in Figure 6-27.
