FAQ:
Can I still post in the Udemy Q&A?
Absolutely. I'm just a little slower to respond there because I
don't get notifications of new posts. You don't have to sign up
for Slack at all if you don't want to

How do I use Slack once I've joined?

Here is a really good guide on the basics:

I don't want to download anything

You can just use it like any other website and access it through
your web browser

Why did you create Slack

community for your students?
For a lot of reasons.
First, I can respond and actually converse with you in Slack. You can't
really do that in Udemy.
Second, so you can talk to each other, answer each other's questions,
and learn together.
I've found that when there is a community around a topic of learning,
the people that really engage get way more out of it vs a standard
"watch a video, next video" experience
