The music staff and clef refresher

The music staff is a set of 5 lines and 4 spaces that holds musical notation.

The treble clef and bass clef together is called the grand staff.

Whole steps and Half Steps

Musical scales are made of of a combination of whole steps and half steps

Half steps are notes that lie directly next to one another.

2 half steps make up a whole step

Whole steps are every other note.

create all the major scales knowing this pattern.

Now, I will walk you through the Major Scale assignment I’ve uploaded to your
classroom.

you have already experienced (C, F, and G)
