Statement of purpose

Dear Sir / Madam

I am excited to apply to the Masters in cognitive science at university of Sapienza Italy. I graduated from
university of Lahore, Pakistan. I am holding a five years degree program in Doctor of Physical Therapy,
with securing 3.85 CGPA. The study program would be an important step towards my future career as
health care practitioner who can evaluate, diagnose, and treat the patients with neurological conditions.

Human body is the most sophisticated and complicated machine of the universe, and we cannot treat
effectively without knowing some of its inner workings. I am eager to learn Principles from basic
cognitive neuroscience that would enables me to translate clinical problems and bridging levels of
analysis from cognitive neuroscience to Neurological rehabilitation. With the deeper understanding and
thorough knowledge of, nervous system and how mental disorder that have impact on it, will help me to
design, better pharmacological treatment protocols, and supportive therapies for the patients.

Neuroscience is not only a domain in which I would like to work, it is a real passion for me and is an
integral part of my life. As in industrialized countries, more and more people are in need of
rehabilitation and therapeutic services because the general population grows older, and
neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's diseases is becoming more prevalent,
by using the knowledge of cognitive neuroscience to guide and inform interventions designed to
minimize or reverse the impairments resulting from neural injury and disease. While equipping me with
highly specialized knowledge and expanded research, Masters in cognitive neuroscience will help to
move the fields of Neurological rehabilitation and cognitive neuroscience closer together.

During my career, I have gained vast experience in the following areas: Anatomy of whole body,
kinesiology, biochemistry and genetics, biomechanics and ergonomics, physiology, behavioral sciences,
exercises physiology, medical physics, health and wellness, pharmacology, medicine, pathology and
microbiology, embryology,. Furthermore, I have been exposed to an extensive range of rehabilitation
based subjects from neurological rehabilitation, pediatrics physical therapy, cardio pulmonary physical
therapy, Gerontology and geriatric physical therapy, Obstetric and gynecological physical therapy,
musculoskeletal therapy, sports physical therapy, supervised clinical practice. I have also studied
therapeutic and diagnostic based subjects, including radiology, electro therapy, prosthetic orthotic, and
diagnostic imaging, and on the other hand some research bases subjects, biostatistics, evidence based
practice and research methodologies. Having studied the specialized courses, I have acquired the
essential skills of systematic research, analytical thinking and information evaluation. Most prominently,
they provided me insight into evaluate, analyze, diagnose and effectively treat patient.
I also have 2 years of clinical work experience from a well renowned hospital. I have experience of
handling many cases of neurological diseases which will further help me in understanding and dealing
with neurological cases in future.

As an endeavoring student, I was among the best students in my class. Furthermore, I was privileged
among the performing students in my department. In my bachelor’s, I have represented my batch whole
5 years. I have played prominent role in social clubs and societies. Nevertheless, continued personal and
professional growth is an important part of my success, and I am devoted to results and goals.

Besides from the favorable and learning environment of University of Lahore. I mostly enjoyed the
active academic freedom and active pluralism during my bachelors. I thrive on encouraging team
performance and was praised by senior management for my ability to ensure adherence to establishing
and maintaining a positive and motivating attitude towards academic as well as curricular activities.

With my strong academic background and desire to study, I am confident that I am qualified and able to
perform well in this program.

To conclude, I am sure that NeuroBIM will satisfy my thirst for knowledge in neuroscience and joining
your university will give me a solid foundation in this field. I hope I have been able to communicate my
motivation for being part of NeuroBIM.
