a. Apple Inc. has been taken as a case study for the given assignment. Few glaring facts
about the company are as under:-
(1) Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in April
1976 at Cupertino, California.
(2) It is an American multinational technology company headquartered in
Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics,
computer software, and online services.
(3) As of year 2020, Apple operates over 510 stores worldwide and online shop
where its products are sold.
(4) Apple employs over 147,000 employees worldwide.
(5) In August 2018, Apple became the first publicly traded US company to be
valued at over $1 trillion and just two years later, in August 2020 became the
first $2 trillion US company.
A. Organizational Structure
(1) Apple Inc. has a hierarchical organizational structure, with notable divisional
characteristics and a weak functional matrix.
(2) The hierarchy is a traditional structural feature in business organizations.
(3) The divisional characteristics refer to the product-based grouping within Apple,
such as for iOS and macOS.
(4) The weak functional matrix involves inter-divisional collaboration, while the
hierarchy is preserved.
B.     Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS)
C. Enterprise Projects Structure (EPS). Apple Inc. is a leading company of the world. The
EPS of Apple Inc is as under:-

(WBS) of that particular project.
Apple Inc. wants to open a new store in Islamabad, new project plan needs to be
designed and the successful implementation of that design needs to be done. For the very
purpose, from the planning to the implementation of the project, several activities involved
in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) will clarify all the sub activities along the major task.
