7. Major roles & responsibilities of the project team.

a. Project Manager  Responsible to ensure that all of the work is done on
time and within the projected budget.
 Set a realistic timeline and consistently meet the
benchmarks within it.
 Identifying and responding to potential issues
throughout the life of the project.
 Create a contingency plan to have a proactive
approach.
 Must be able to ensure resource availability and
allocation.
 Manage the financial plan and consistently evaluate
the project budget.
 Be able to communicate with staff the details of

project and evaluate the effectiveness of a project


plan with employees.
 Communicate the progress and health of the
project with key stakeholders and clients.
b. Administration  Is responsible to provide all necessary
Officer administrative support to the project.
 Ensure timely availability of material as demanded
from time to time.
 Immediately report incidents in writing.
c. Operations Manager  Conduct regular project status meetings with
project team.
 Address questions and concerns of project team,
management and customers in professional and
confident manner.

 Provide project progress status, delays and issues to


PM in timely manner.
 Conduct performance review and provide
performance feedback to staff.
 Keep close liaison with Finance and Administration
Manager and Architect.
 Keep project manager updated on daily basis.
 Ensure timely passage of all reports to PM.
 Keep close liaison with QC Consultant for timely
ratification of observations highlighted by them.
d. Finance Manager  Coordinate fortnightly requests for funds, based on
budget and cash flow projections, to ensure the
project has all necessary funds for operations.
 Ensure financial reporting in accordance with
project manager timelines.
 Review and approve fund request.

 Provide Weekly and Fortnightly financial state in


review meetings.
 Keep financial states updated and ensure timely
demand of funds.
 Provide status reports as per the plan.
e. Procurement  Evaluate all quotes and coordinate with vendors to

all suppliers and prepare reports for all purchasing
departments and provide support to all managers.
 Maintain an efficient purchase order system and
ensure accuracy.

 Designing product specifications.
 Supervising staff and monitoring production

 Reporting to upper management on quality standard
issues.
 Improving production efficiency and managing
waste.
g. Civil Engineer  Managing parts of construction projects.
 Setting out sites.

 Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure


that they are followed correctly.
 Supervising contracted staff.
 Ensuring project packages meet agreed
specifications, budgets and/or timescales.
 Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other
professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and
the overall project manager.
 Providing technical advice and solving problems on
site.
 Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork.
 Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering
and the pricing of materials.
 Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability

policies and legislation are adhered to.


h. Electrical Engineer  Designing Electrical Systems by preparing blueprints
and incorporating electrical elements.
 Overseeing and managing teams of electrical
contractors and subcontractors.
 Resolving Electrical Issues.
 Develop cost estimates for both material and labor at
the onset of the construction planning process.
 Managing construction schedules related to electrical
elements.
 Conduct tests of electrical systems.
i. Architect  Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction
documents.
 Cost Estimation of Construction Project.
 Coordinate preliminary architectural studies for new
structure and alterations to existing structures and

site development.
 Organize and manage permit documents.
 Work closely with PM & Operations Manager during
execution to ensure that the project is being
developed as per the approved designs and
specifications.
 Make periodic visits to site and identify any flaws or
rectification required well in time.
j. Assistant Manager  Assist Administration Manager.
Administration
 Duties include inventory management, organizing
company records, roster scheduling, budget and
office reporting and invoicing.
k. Assistant Manager  Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house

quality procedures, standards and specifications.
 Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that

these are met.


 Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with
suppliers.
 Investigating and setting standards for quality and
health and safety.
 Working with operating staff to establish procedures,
standards and systems.
 Encouraging change and improvement in
performance and quality.
 Supervising technical or laboratory staff.
l. Site Engineer  Offers advice in the planning, co-ordination and
supervision of technical aspects of construction
projects.
 Manage different teams placed during the
construction phase.
 Update / intimate Operations Manager on the work

proactively.
m. Site Supervisor  Supervising workers, subcontractors and work
activities.
 Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety
briefings and toolbox talks.
 Assessing and managing safety hazards.
 Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities
are in place.
 Carrying out regular inspections.
 Helping project managers to plan the work program.
 Helping co-ordinate deliveries of materials, plant
and equipment.
 Completing records for site reports.
 Attending site management meetings.

 Carrying out regular inspections to ensure


compliance with relevant legal requirements,
processes and procedures.
 Organizing and overseeing external inspections,
such as with a health and safety inspector.
 Providing emergency first aid, if required.
n. Accountant  Assist Finance Manager.
 Ensure financial reporting in accordance with project
timelines.
 Keep financial states updated and ensure timely

In order to develop the Gantt chart, all the activities have been enlisted including their
duration, start and finish date and their predecessors. For this project 5 days calendar has been
