The first belief then regarding humanities is that art has been created by all people, regardless
of background, time, and place, and that it has remained because it is cherished and appreciated
by people on a continuous basis. A brilliant piece of art will never be out of date. Some people
claim that art is an inner value of art.

2. Art is still present in every country and every generation. Sometimes, people believe like what is
called artistic is just what has been achieved a long time ago. It is a misconception. Age is not a
consideration in the dedication of art. "Art isn't good because it's old, but it's old because it's
good." In the Philippines, the works of Jose Rizal and Francisco Balagtas are not read because
they are old. Otherwise, the work of the other Filipinos who had long died would still have been
expected in junior high school. The pieces listed are read in school and have stayed with us
because they are nice.

3. A significant feature of art is that it is not nature. Art is the manifestation of man's acceptance of
nature. Art is the way man interprets nature. Art is not the essence of it. Art is created by man,
while nature is offered around us. It is at this juncture that they can be viewed as opposites.
What we see in nature should not be assumed to be found in art as well. Movies are not
supposed to be a true reflection of reality. They can, according to the filmmaker's view of reality,
be a reinterpretation or even a distortion of existence.

4. In order to know what an artwork is, we have to sense it, see it, or hear it, hear, and see it. A
radio DJ offering suggestions about dating because he is not seen it, does not just necessarily
know what he is talking about. A choreographer who cannot perform a dance step on his own is
a virus. Art has always been an experience. In comparison to fields of knowledge that include
evidence, art is known to experience. A painter cannot create a piece of art if he is a novice to a
chisel.

Art appreciation analyzes art using techniques and materials, helping individuals to make correlations
with the context of art and the engagement of cultures. It is impossible to appreciate the art without
knowing the history.

Beauty, in the sense of art, is an indicator of effective contact between the participants – the
conveyance of an idea between the artist and the preceptor. Beautiful art succeeds in expressing the
artist's most profound expected feelings, the ideal ideas, whether they be beautiful and light or gloomy
and sinister. But in the end, neither the artist nor the observer can be assured of good contact. Beauty in
painting is thus eternally arbitrary or subjective.

An objective perspective is one that relies on the physical features of the object as the primary source
of knowledge. This does not mean that you will erase or invalidate your subjective feelings towards
work, in fact you will find that the more knowledgeable you get, the more work will affect you both
emotionally and mentally. It means that you can learn alternative ways of viewing art, ways of seeking
hints about meaning and knowing how art represents and influences our lives.

Art criticism responds, interprets context, and makes objective decisions on particular works of art.
