Education can be seen as the dissemination of ideals and the cumulative experience of culture. In
this way, it is similar to what social sciences call socialisation or enculturation. Kids are born out of
society with no knowledge. Learning is intended to guide them in the learning of community, to
influence their actions in the ways of maturity, and to guide them into their ultimate position in
society. Often there is no organised schooling in the most primitive cultures—little of what one
would ordinarily call school or class or instructor. Instead, the whole world and all events are always
used as education and classroom, and several of all adults serve as students. [ CITATION bri1 \l

Ques 2) How can Mihir improve the educational experiences of children in his school?
Mihir can work on the following aspects to increase educational experience in his school-
1) Changes in Pedagogy- The pedagogy should be a mix of the current lecture-based teaching
and the experimental/practical learning.
2) Cater to needs of students based on their class- Students that have boards require tailored
education as per the board pattern. For others, the school can have a dynamic curriculum
involving cross stream electives
3) Involve the parents- Regular feedback to parents and have at least one PTM in 2 months
4) Career counselling- This will help students select a right career and also help them
understand the importance of education in making a career
5) Increasing attendance- Inclusion of sports, arts and other extracurricular activities that
would motivate students to come to school.
Ques 3) Is the idea of private education consistent with the idea of social equity and justice?
Yes, I believe the idea of private education consistent with the idea of social equity and justice
The proliferation of private education in India is happening at a mass level. There is also competition
among the private schools. Due to this, there is no monopoly is the sector.
According to Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, a rapid migration of students towards private schools, and an
emptying of government schools. She says that a major reason for the rapid growth of private
schools is their affordability, as most of them are ‘low’ fee schools. [ CITATION Gee \l 16393 ]
According to Jane S shaw, it is true that the more you pay for education, the more benefits you
receive. But there are also spill overs that acts as positive reinforcement for proliferation of
education in the society. [ CITATION Jan \l 16393 ]
Therefore, I think that privatisation of education is improving the quality of learning while at the
same time it remains affordable due to factors such as a mass market and competition. Hence, the
idea of private education consistent with the idea of social equity and justice
