Film Analysis about the documentary film “Miss Representation”

The documentary film “Miss Representation” did a great job on establishing the circumstances
and challenges of women facing around the world. The relevance of this film today is very
accurate because it shows how media portrays women in such a bad way and being off from the
reality. Gender Inequality is prominent in every corner in the society.

The way the media influences our beliefs today is just by simply watching television everyday
and just has an access in the Internet. The information that the Internet has is very wide and it
easy to access just as the quote said “Everything is just one click away”. The media influences
everybody easily because most of the people are not educated or informed regarding about the
matter that is the media releasing. They just believe it because it is trending or prominent in the
society, which is wrong. We can overcome the media’s negative messaging by just having a
knowledge or being informed and to know the truth rather than just believing on something that
doesn’t have an evidence to prove it, in short we must logical in our actions.

Objectification means that a person is treating an individual like an object or a thing. They use
objectification in advertising because it can attract a lot of people to buy their product because
the society sees women as a sexual object.

The examples of gender stereotypes are disabling the young girls to play the toys of young boys.
The negative effect of this mentality is that the society is limiting the young girls to reach their
full potential in life. Let me say that what if that young girl wants to create a car that is
beneficial for all; by just limiting them we are eliminating the dreams of a young girl to become
a successful person in life.

The stereotypes gets engaging by then since it addresses the client base, notwithstanding the way
that a level of that client base is additionally guys in their mid 30s or resigned couples in their
60s. Eventually, the generalization for the crowd with the most purchasing force will win out. I
can change the way media does business by just not buying the products that is using gender
issues as an advertisement. The people see the physical attributes of the women rather than just
the value of women it is so bad that it affects the mental, emotional, and physical health of
women in the society. I understand that being a woman in the community has a lot to experience
and endure in order to survive in the society. The patriarchal system needs to be remove because
it sees the only job for women is to bear a child and for me that is wrong in so many perspective.
Women has a more value than just bearing a child, we as humans have a capability to reach our
full potential in life. Equality is very critical and important in the society because it produces
every individual a chance or opportunity to reach their goals in life and be successful. This film
is very important to younger generation to see and to know that the gender issues in the society is
very deep and serious. It can help the people to learn and be educated about the gender issues we
are facing today. The only way to promote gender equity for me is be a kind person and be an
example to everyone. Treat everyone with respect and also be educated in regarding to the issues
of gender equality because being informed in this matter you will have the knowledge to do what
is right and to know what is wrong.

Insight Paper about Live Virtual Talk Show (Women's Day Celebration)

Today we are experiencing a pandemic and it chooses no one. The society needs to be united in
order to overcome this pandemic because if we don’t cooperate and do nothing this virus will
eliminate us all. The role of mothers is to protect and to educate her child because being
informed about the virus will help to prevent the spread and also help other people especially the
frontlines. I believe in the saying “Prevention is better than cure”. But I believe that gender roles
are not important because all of us can achieve everything and be better person. I believe that
the way can the fathers help their family is to provide them with food and shelter either way it
can also be the mothers role because today we must help each other out and to believe that we
can surpass this problem. I agree that both father and mother decide what the most important
thing for the family is because it can help the child or children to have a great foundation in
solving problems and to reach their full potential in life.
