Importing from an existing PCSWMM data repository (RAP)

Radar data can be imported for a RAP project (https://support.chiwater.com/79190/rap-
project) from an existing PCSWMM data repository. This may be useful if a new RAP
model has been created but the radar rainfall data that was previously processed in a
di erent RAP is to be used.

Ensure a RAP model has already been created. In this article, data will be imported from
Dallas, Texas that was previously imported from a HAS request.

To Import from an existing PCSWMM repository:

1. Click on the Options button and open the Repository tab if it isn't already.

2. Enter in the type of radar you would like to import (NEXRAD, Grid or Grib2).
3. Ensure the station data is correct.
4. In the Repository tab click on the Import... button.

5. Select to Import From PCSWMM data repository and click on the Next button.

6. Click on the Browse... button.

7. Navigate to the location of the data repository, this is the folder that has the station
location le in it (i.e. Central IL IL (KILX)). In the screen shot below I am showing the
location of my repository that contains radar data from each station.

8. Put a check beside the radar products you would like to import and click on the
Import button.
