A phrase is a group of words which forms a part of a sentence. A phrase does


not contain a subject and a verb, so it does not make complete sense.

Example: Fatima lives in Manasir, Al Ain.

A clause is a group of words which contains a subject and a verb; therefore it


makes a complete thought.

Example: in Manasir, Al Ain

Write ‘C’ if it is a clause. Write ‘P’ if it is a phrase.
