mean that these drawings are approved and they should be resubmitted by the contractor

II) Contract drawings for approval:

The successful tenderer shall submit the following drawings in quintuplicate for approval as detailed in
the specification.

prove protection against voltage induction in AC & DC auxiliary circuits during transient
fault conditions on power system.
7. Technical and descriptive literature for the various items of equipments including two
original copies of catalogues of each protective relay, auxiliary relays, contactors,...etc.
8. Schematic diagram of switchgear, control and relay boards, transformers and other
equipment showing the connections (details of protection scheme, metering, alarms,
voltage control,.,...etc.).
9. Details of cable Boxes:
a. For all types of switchgears.
b. Transformers, etc. with details of compound and oil.
10. Details of transformers disconnecting link chambers, oil piping valves with locks, oil and
winding temperature measurement, Buchholz and gas relays, ..etc.
11. Drawings showing the details of neutral earthing changeover switch cabinets and resistors.
12. Characteristics and magnetization curves of C.T.’s for differential protection as well as for
all other protective relays with check on suitability of burden and A.L.F. for each case.
13. Details of 400 KV and 132 kv current and voltage transformers (construction details,
electrical, technical data).
14. Drawings showing the earthing system and details of earthing electrodes and connection
together with detailed calculation for touch and step voltage and earthing mesh potential
based on design, fault level and site conditions.

31. Substation layout and arrangement of all equipment (indoor and outdoor) of all
equipment.
32. Full details with full calculations of civil works associated with the substation building
and external civil works and full details of all equipment associated with the building
(doors, windows, ..etc).
33. Any other drawing calculations, tests likely to need attention according to the
requirements of the specifications
34. For all electric circuitry, a step-by-step description of the sequence of operation with the
aid of a signal flow diagram giving the terminals where signal can be detected at various
stages starting from input and ending at the output terminals. Also a block diagram
splitting the whole circuit into logic and binary blocks must be offered for approval.
Trouble shooting tables for electronic transistorized relays has to be offered.

35. Details of transformer housing ventilators and noise reducers if applicable.

36. Details and characteristics of oil pressure tanks. Also details of pressure gauges and
surge voltage limiters (if applicable).
37. Details and arrangement of the firefighting equipment with detailed calculations on the
capacity of each system for the concerned case and precautions taken against corrosion
for water system in particular.

III): Completion drawings:

1) Before erection, the contractor shall supply the following:

a) Four prints of all drawings and diagrams as finally approved.

b) Six complete sets of instruction manuals, in the English language, for the
switchgear, protection relays , shunt reactor , transformers, air-conditioning,
and all associated auxiliary and sundry equipment.

c) Power cable records ( 132 KV and 1000 V 1/c and 4/cores cable) showing the
exact cable layout to be submitted as (1) above.

2) Before handing over any section of works, two sets of marked-up drawings showing all
modifications that may have been carried out on site shall be handed over to Purchaser.

3) Within two months of handing over any section of the work, two further sets of all
drawings including schematic drawings and 10 sets of CD ROMS (in an approved PDF
Format Source File (original program) & AutoCAD) showing all equipment as finally
erected and wired on site, shall be submitted to the Purchaser. In addition one flash
memory and , three sets of standard 35 mm silver Halide microfilm as specified under
clause 1.15 shall be submitted within two months of handing over section of the works.
- Drawing paper should be at standard good quality and all drawing should be
submitted in CD softcopies in AutoCAD and pdf (Acrobat) format. (Source

NB: The successful tenderer shall collect from DEN Department of the Ministry of
Electricity & Water immediately after signing the contract five blank copies of the
tender specification who will fill identically to his offer and attach five complete sets of
all drawings, catalogues, documents, questionnaire, replies, interchanged
correspondence, etc. and this must be submitted not later than one month therefore as
per clause 1.15 page 18, Vol.I of the specification. In addition to that two sets of the
same should be submitted on computer 3.5 DS micro diskettes.
