Summary
Neoclassic style is particularly evident in 18th-century paintings, sculptures,
and architecture. Any of the neoclassic period’s prominent artists are J.A.D Ingres,
Jacques-Louis David, Robert Adam, Antonio Canova, Bertel Thorvaldsen.

Neoclassicism contrasts strongly with romanticism. This is looking for

modernism and communicating emotion through art. Jean Louis Theodore Gericault,
Eugene Delacroix, Francisco Goya, Francois Rude and Antoine-Louis Barye were
prominent artists in the Romantic period
