So, pass the deck to the volunteer. They can touch the deck, tell them not to be
scared or if they are confident, they can test it for themselves, we change the
script to suit their personality.
Ask them to remove the deck from the box, and miraculously, all the cards have
cooled down and are nice and cold (deck chilled beforehand in fridge/freezer).

Freeze/Burn illusion – this states in physics that human nerves cannot
differentiate between extreme heat or cold. Therefore, when they touch a
freezing cold deck, they think it is hot, especially in the heat of the moment (Suraj
Pun-chmatia hahaha)

They look in the deck, it is cold and it is entirely the ‘Water’ deck. Take it from
them and show them the back and front of the cards, only one card is still hot and
you can act out subtly that it is hot. This card has the Ignito back and turn it over
to reveal that it is their card. All we need to do is dip the top of it in the ‘Water
’ deck upside down (could dip your fingers in water under the table and then
touch the card and them so they feel it has been wet) and the Ignito card turns
into a Water card, and drop it on to the deck and spread the deck out.
(could also swap the box while they are looking through the deck, taking the ‘
Ignito’ box from them and replacing it with the ‘Water’ box on to the table
for an additional “hopefully the box should have cooled by now”/ you’re
freaking me out right now ‘moment’).
Turn heating off in the room and put fan on. Lights slowly come back on…
