STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS:
If Ss do not understand the oral commands or the task, they will be translated into Romanian.
But, the mother tongue can only be spoken if a student has a question to ask the teacher that
he/she cannot explain in English; some technical issues might appear for both students and
teacher
TEACHING TECHNIQUES:
Ice-breaking, conversation, brainstorming, explanation, frontal/individual work
AIDS/MATERIALS
1. Introductory -T greets Ss and asks them about their -to induce a friendly 1’

4. Presentation of - T explains students the aims of the - introduce the topic -online 2’
the new lesson lesson and the fact that today’s lesson of the lesson board
will be based on the revision of
countable/uncountable nouns. At the end -understand the aims -notebooks
of this part, SS will have an online test of the lesson
with 15 questions.

5. Practice and - T asks Ss to open the books at page 52 -check understanding - pictures 15’
reinforcement and solve exercise 1 in which they have to of the acquired rules
look at some pictures, read the words and
use : a, an, some. The exercise is written -consolidate the use -cards
in the notebooks. of : a, an, some
- SS are asked to prepare two pieces of
paper and to write countable and -online
uncountable on them. T shows SS cards - identify countable/ board
different nouns and they have to raise the uncountable nouns
correct card ( e.g tea- uncountable, boxes-
countable)

6. Follow-up/ -assess countable/ 15’
Online test - SS are sent the link for the online test. uncountable nouns
They have 10 minutes to solve it.
- T creates the feedback of the test. All
SS get grades.

8. Setting -SS get homework from the textbook ( ex -practice countable/ -textbook 3’
homework 3/52 and 7/53. They have to find the odd uncountable nouns
word in one exercise and to solve a
crossword in the other exercise. Both
exercises are based on
countable/uncountable nouns.
