would have understood
1. Sketching Technique
2. Importance of Perspective
3. Importance of Wheel Ellipse
4. Difference between Horizon Line, Vanishing Points and
Convergence lines
5. Difference between One Point Perspective and Two
Point Perspective
6. Car Sketching in One Point Perspective
7. Car Sketching in two Point Perspective
Session Topics
1. Sketching Technique
2. Perspective
3. Wheel Ellipse
4. One Point Perspective
5. Two Point Perspective
• Only once you have learned these rules you can begin to distort
or exaggerate them in order to accentuate elements of your
design.
• There are three basic forms of perspective (one, two and three
point). There are also three main elements present in each of
these (the vanishing point, convergence lines and horizon line).
• This Session shows the basics behind one and two point
perspective only, three-point perspective being a technique that
automotive sketching does not require.

Perspective View
Horizon Line:
• This line, as its name suggests, describes the horizon, which is
always considered to be at eye level. For instance, an object
sited above the horizon line is above the viewer's eye level and
will therefore show its underside.
• Vanishing Points: Sited on the horizon line these are the points
where all convergence lines meet.
Convergence Lines:
• All parallel lines in a scene will always appear to converge to a
single point (the vanishing points).
Step-1
Draw the vanishing point on the above the car, draw the outer
Mr. Kiran V. R.
Step-2
Draw the line from the vanishing point to side edges
Step-3
Mr. Kiran V. R.
Give the 3D effect for the side view through vanishing point
Step-4
Draw the wheel portion like circle and 3d effect for the wheel , center
point of the wheel passing through the vanishing point
