II. Background

This  pertains  to  the  activity  proposal  of  Pantawid  entitled,  Success  Through  Synergy:
People,  Purpose,  and  Passion,  wherein  the  4Ps  it  aims  to  build  and  strengthen  internal
collaboration between the divisions in Pantawid, which is evident on the very few
collaborations amongst divisions during the past 3 years,

III.Key Points & Recommendations

The  activity will be conducted for 2 days or a total of 16 hours through the virtual platform
and  face-to-face  classroom  type  sessions.  The  discussions  will  be  mainly  related  to  the
following areas:

a) Belbin’s  9  Key  Team  Roles  Theory,  wherein  it  defines  a  team  role  as  a  tendency  to
behave,  contribute  and  interrelate  with  others  in  a  particular  way.  There  are  3  action
oriented  roles  -  Shaper,  Implementer  and  Completer  Finisher;  3  people  oriented  roles -
Coordinator,  Teamworker  and  Resource  Investigator  and  3  cerebral  roles  -  Plant,
Monitor Evaluator and Specialist.

Given  the  overview  of  the  Theory,  this  is  applicable  to  the  current  structure  of the 4Ps,
given  that  they  create  and  enhance  policies  and  activities  for  the  development  of  their
beneficiaries, and they also do the actual implementation of the program in the field.

b) Building a Great Team, which is a continuation of the Belbin’s 9 Key Team Roles Theory
c) Managing  Stress  through  the  Gestalt  Approach.  This  is  a  humanistic,  holistic,
person-centered  form  of  psychotherapy  that  is  focused  on  an  individual's  present  life
and  challenges  rather  than  delving  into  past  experiences.  This  approach  stresses  the
importance  of  understanding  the  context  of  a  person’s  life  and  taking  responsibility
rather than placing blame.

This  is  helpful  in  exploring  the  roots of stress in an individual because they will be able
to  better  understand  how far some people may handle highly stressful situations which
would eventually lead to work burnout in the staff.

The  budgetary  requirements  will  amount  to Php 479,200.00, including the Honorarium of
both  the  RP  and  the  Facilitator,  the  materials  and  training  kits,  and  the  meals  of  the
attendees. This is well within the NPMO Capability Building Fund.

For the signature of the Assistant Secretary.

I further certify that all the documentary requirements have been subjected to the principle of completed staff  work
and  have  been  evaluated  with  diligence  and  found  in  order  in  accordance  with  prescribed  policies,  guidelines  and
procedures.
