INTRODUCTION ‘YARNNN

Filipinos travel in other countries for various reasons, to make a living, to create a


difference, to study, to respond to a calling, to volunteer, or just to merely start an adventure.
But what uplifts the Filipinos to confront these various challenges of leaving the comforts
of home is one's pursuance of their dreams, a yearning not simply for subjective success but a
generous dream for one's family, community, and country. There are Filipinos in almost all
corners of the world sharing the image of the Philippines, generally protected and safeguarded
by international and diplomatic laws, yielding new personal connections that influence the way
the world views the country and its people. The Philippines have this main agency specialized in
the field of international relations where it facilitates global welfare that encourages travel
related to business, tourism and immigration, giving people opportunities to objectively promote
their lives.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is an executive agency, that helps the President in
coordinating, planning, and evaluating the overall effort in the sector of foreign relations and
diplomatic matters. It is responsible for the pursuance of the State’s foreign policy, in which it is
entrusted with the promotion of national security, protection of the contiguity of territory and
national sovereignty. It also takes part within the effort of amplifying local development and
promoting the Philippines' competitive edge. This agency aims to protect the rights and promote
the general welfare of Filipinos overseas and to project an objective image of the Philippines,
enhancing economic, diplomatic, educational, trade, cultural and political relations with other
nations.

The Department of Foreign Affairs work with other countries, pooling and exchanging
resources and information as a way to combat global issues like terrorism, threat to natural
environment, pandemics, that can possibly affect more than one country. International relations
enhances development of humanity through diplomacy, cultural amendment, and progression of
foreign policies, continuously aiming for world peace and prosperity. Having also embassies and
consulates present in different parts of the world in order for overseas Filipinos to keep in touch
just in case.
