AGT Level 1 Duty. Officers taking the Level 1

gas content in confined space. Authorized Gas Tester
level 1 will analyze and provide reports directly to AGT
level 3 officers and supervisors appointed by the HSE
work area officer in accordance with the permit
designation.
AGT Level 1 Requirements. Authorized Gas Tester
level 1 officer must have a clear work permit and be
issued directly by the workplace HSE officer and work
according to the work stated on the permit. Officers

AGT Level 1 Equipment. The completeness of AGT level
1 officers at work is Work Permit, Portable Gas
Detector, SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus),
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). The duration of
work of an AGT level 1 officer depends on the area to
be analyzed and the availability of oxygen carried. SCBA
is not recommended for long-term use because SCBA
has a very limited time, so that the use of SCBA is only
for limited analysis and for evacuating victims. In
addition to knowledge of the use of SCBA, AGT level 1
officers were also given knowledge about the use of
EEBD (Emergency Escape Breathing Devices). EEBD is
used only for quick emergency evacuation at work,

SCBA.

OPITO STANDARD
AGT Level 1 Legality. The OPITO Certificate for
Authorized Gas Tester is valid for up to 3 years, so
officers must conduct a competency test again at the
Competency Test Place (TUK) registered with the
national certification institution or BNSP (Badan
Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi) to get license. There are 2
tests to get a license from BNSP, interview test and
written test. In interview test, officer must be answer
the question from assessor orally, practice to use a
SCBA, EEBD, and Gas Detector. In written test, officer
must be answer the question from assessor in writing
to explain, describe, and tell a story in the real case at
workplace.

The optimal time to use SCBA is time limit SCBA
