What is Child Find? CHILD FIND INCLUDES A FREE SCREENING TO IDENTIFY ANY EDUCATIONAL OR PHYSICAL NEEDS THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED TO ENABLE THE CHILD TO FULLY BENEFIT FROM AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM. CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES PROTECTED UNDER THE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES EDUCATION ACT OR SECTION 504 OF THE REHABILITATION ACT MAY REQUIRE THE PROVISION OF FAPE (FREE APPROPRIATE PUBLIC EDUCATION) THROUGH SPECIAL SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DILLINGHAM CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BEGINNING AT AGE 3 AND CONTINUE TO AGE 21 (OR 22 IF THE STUDENT IS 21 BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF THE SCHOOL YEAR).
