After three years of President Duterte’s governance, Filipinos seem have not

yet learned from the quagmire brought by Philippine politics, from simple delicadeza,
hypocrisy, corruption and what not, the failed war on drugs and other debacle
wrecking his administration.

In the beginning, Filipinos have experienced a sigh of relief, may be a hope to

rid of the system of government from the pangs of corruption when then Mayor
Duterte of Davao ran for President in 2016. Thousands of Filipinos believed he was
the Man for presidency for he promised a future for millions of Filipinos who are
hungry of change, a detour from a road towards corruption, and a plan of eradicating
poverty and drug problem in the society. He promised a life of fewer miseries, a
corrected form of government and even a promise to improve our economy by
fighting drugs and corruption in the Philippines. He was a good choice then from the
pool of traditional politicians “trapos” and hope for a real change in the Country.

But after governing the Country for three years, flashes of corruption remains
the same, war on drugs brought more pain to the constituents, and image of
hypocrisy is on its highest, and debacles of previous administration still lurking on as
if we have not changed at all, worst, the fruit of change tend to rot due to flimsy
promises of a President like Duterte who is more crook, so to say, as his promises for
good government turned to sour lies wrapped with utmost plasticity and faked action
all for the satisfaction of his own whims and caprices and not at all for the Filipinos, a
total turnaround from what he had said three years ago when he was just a the start
of his climb for Presidency in 2016. Our economy has never gained any improvement,
prices of commodities are sparking up to the highest, and even the so called “TRAIN
Law” to infuse more blood for our economy is considered “Anti-Poor” and some of
his pro-poor program benefitted only the rich and the affluent and not the general
public. I cannot see any improvement or actual assistance from his administration as
assistance program for the poor was already in the limelight before he became
President of the Republic. His “Build, Build and Build Program” was the effect of his
approval to make the Philippines attain more loans from abroad and become more
indebted to China at the expense of doling out our sovereignty to Chinese propensity
in the West Philippine Sea. No more no less we have not gained any progress at all,
but a frustration from his promises as ordinary “trapo.”

“Digong” is not he Man, albeit, he is the frustration of the entire Filipinos who
will carry the brunt of his administration for another three years…
