III. ESSAY
Differentiate the Vertical Milling machine to horizontal milling machine (5 points)

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VERTICAL MILLING MACHINE AND THE HORIZONTAL MILLING MACHINE IS
THE ORIENTATION OF THE SPINDLE. IN VERTICAL MILLING MACHINE, THE SPINDLE IS IN A VERTICAL ORIENTATION
WHILE IN HORIZONTAL MILLING MACHINE, THE SPINDLE IS IN A HORIZONTAL ORIENTATION. THESE TWO
MACHINES ALSO DIFFER IN THEIR CUTTING TOOLS, VERTICAL MILLING MACHINES CONTAIN LONGER AND THINNER
CUTTING TOOLS THAN THE HORIZONTAL MILLING MACHINE. SOME COMPANIES OFTEN USE THE HORIZONTAL
MILLING MACHINE BECAUSE THIS TYPE PERFORMS HEAVIER AND DEEPER CUTS THAN THE VERTICAL MILING
MACHINE.
