Meet the Student Teacher!

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

My name is Kayla Hopkins and I am pleased to inform you

that I will be student teaching in your child's classroom with
Mrs. Harrington. I am currently a senior at Mount Aloysius
College studying Elementary Education with a concentration
in English. During my time at Mount Aloysius I have been on
the schools softball team, a member of PSEA, and worked at
the on campus daycare, The Little People's Place. I am so
excited to start this experience as a student teacher and look
forward to working one-on-one with your child!

During the next eight weeks I will be learning how to become

the best teacher I can be by slowly integrating my teaching
skills to the class. During the first week I will only be working
with small groups and by the end of my eight weeks at
Greater Johnstown Elementary I will be teaching full days. If
you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me or
Mrs. Harrington and I would be happy to answer any of the
