Read the situations and write sentences with had better or had better not. Use

Robinson Crusoe

Chapter-2

1. Write down the escape of Robinson from his Turkish Master.


Answer: Robinson's master once planned fishing with his friends. So he told Robinson to
get the boat ready. But on the day of fishing, the master and his friends changed their
minds. So the master told Robinson to go with Moely and Xury to bring some fish for
supper. When they were fishing Robinson knocked Moely into the water and scared him
with this master's gun on the boat. Xury was helpful to Robinson. So Robinson and Xury
sailed together.

2. Who is Xury?
Answer: Xury is a young boy who escaped with Robinson and later was a slave to the
Portuguese captain for ten years.

3. What was the role of Portuguese captain in the life of Robinson?


Answer: The Portuguese captain saved Robinson and Xury and gave them shelter in his
ship. He gave Robinson money for his boat and Xury. He also took Robinson to Brazil
where Robinson began a new life.

Chapter-3

1. Write down 3 important points from chapter three of Robinson Crusoe.


Answer: Three important points from chapter three are:

1. Robinson left his easy, comfortable life in Brazil and went to sea with his friends.

2. They faced a terrible storm and lost three men in the sea.

3. Everyone died in boat but only Robinson was alive, the sea carried Robinson to the
shore.

Chapter - 4 & 5

1. How did Robinson learn to make a fence?


Answer: Robinson cut down young trees and put them on the grounds, in a half-circle
around the front of his tent. Then he used the ropes from the ship.

2. What did Robinson bring from the ship?


Answer: Robinson brought a big box of food, knives, papers, pens, books, and seven
guns.

3. What types of food did Robinson use to eat on the island?
Answer: Sometimes Robinson used to eat the food from the ship. Sometimes he killed
wilds animal and caught turtle.

4. What is a canoe? How did Crusoe make it?


Answer: Canoe is one type of boat made from trees by making a big hole in it. Crusoe
cut down a big tree and then began to make a hole in it. After working hard for six
months, the canoe was ready.
