instructional supervision, and technical assistance) to
promote good teaching and high level of learning among the
students.
3. Parent Involvement & Community Partnership
Engaging and empowering stakeholders in shared
decision-making in achieving universal participation and
completion to raise learners performance.
Describe Buenavista National High School is a public integrated senior
Current high school of the Division of Tandag City located in a partially
Situation urban barangay of Buenavista, City of Tandag. It has 824
student population and caters to its neighboring barangays of
Balibadon, San Antonio, Salvacion, Pangi, San Agustin,
Awasian, Quezon and even to the most most marginalized
groups from the poorest families of ethnic minorities called
Mamanua from a far-flung area of Purok Macapagal.

While the school has put in place a number of measures

aimed at increasing the performance of students and
improving the general quality of education, the academic
achievement of the students remains a challenge.

The average quarterly MPS of the different subject areas for

the last 2 years is decreasing from 51.55% to 47.96% and
very far from the national passing rate of 75% despite all the
necessary interventions and teaching strategies conducted by
the subject teachers. This clearly indicates that more still
needs to be done in order to improve the academic
performance of the learners. Help needs to come from many
parts of the community. A strong formation of partnership
among major stakeholders in education, viz: national and
provincial departments, school managers, educators, parents,
learners and communities are indispensable.
