Limited Rhythms - With rhythm being the most
challenging musical element to master, MMF! All-in-One

and Quarter Rest) students are assured a successful and
rewarding experience.

The Basics
Keyboard Layout The Staff
The piano keyboard is made up of white keys and black The staff is made up of five lines and four spaces.

higher the notes are on the staff, the higher they sound.

The Grand Staff
The grand staff combines the TREBLE CLEF STAFF (top) and BASS CLEF STAFF (bottom) with a brace and bar line.
Basic Rhythms Finger Numbers
Music is made up of patterns of short and long rhythms You will see small numbers above and below the notes
and rests. throughout this book. These numbers correspond to the
fingers on your right and left hand:

The following illustration shows you the correct position of
the fingers of your right and left hand on the piano
