The goals and objectives, and examples of EBP in the daily practice of nursing

1. Infection Control – it is the last thing a patient wants when going to a hospital for treatment is a
hospital-acquired infection. This is where nurses prevent the illness before it happens or spread.
2. Oxygen Use in Patients with COPD - For patient health and safety, it is essential that nurses
follow evidence-based practice in nursing when it comes to giving oxygen to patients with COPD.
3. Measuring Blood Pressure Noninvasively in Children - Nurses should measure blood pressure
according to evidence-based practice because accurate measurements are an essential part of
effective treatment. The method of measuring the blood pressure of children is different from
the adult.
4. Intravenous Catheter Size and Blood Administration - Nurses should follow EBP when using
intravenous catheters to administer blood for packed red blood cell transfusions (PRBC) smaller
catheter is recommended to this because it provides comfort to the patient.

Evidenced-based answer on the Rational use of Personal Protective Equipment

- According to the World Health Organization (2020), based on the available evidence, the COVID-
19 virus is transmitted between people who are close contact or droplets. Using a PPE or
Personal Protective Equipment reduce the chance in transmitting the virus from one person to
another.

Pleasing qualities among nurses that improve patient interaction

- The pleasing qualities among nurses that improve patient interactions are
1. Non-Verbal Communication – We always smile before talking to the patient no matter how hard
the nurse’s day is
2. Active Listening – Nurses always listen to understand our patient making them comfortable
interacting with the nurse
3. Inspire Trust – Nurses always make sure that the patient trust the nurse.
4. Show Compassion – Nurses always show patient respect and dignity the make sure that the
patient feel safe in the hospital
5. Verbal Communication – We always speak in clear and with the tone on where patient won’t
feel scared.
