CHRISTIAN LIVING

Direction: Please write or attach your short reflections regarding

your recollection last March 6, 2021.

An open mind and an open heart are needed for this. What is
the reason for this? And if you don't have this, you'll never be able to
enjoy the entire experience and will be wasting your time. Every
recollection/retreat I attended had taught me something new.We
sometimes feel strong in our daily lives, as though we can do
something. Our self-assurance is so strong that we believe we can
accomplish something. However, there are moments when we feel
parched, exhausted, and worn out. It's a common occurrence.
Spiritual dryness can also make you feel as if God is far away.

Even if you've never made a mistake, there's something lacking

on the inside. There is a yearning for something as a result of this. And
if you feed this yearning with positive things to do, you'll be battling
the other side of your yearning, which is to do other less-than-ideal
things. Why is this the case? You must feel a strong desire for it and
pray for it. A prayer that will open your eyes to the fact that the only
thing you can do right now is to spend time with God. To have the
unique “date” with Him that we seldom have because of our busy
work schedules and other obligations. You must experience the
longing so that it can send a message to God that you need Him to fill
in a gap in your life.
When you're with people you've worked with before and are in the
same culture or organization, the bond is stronger. That is to say, they
are more than just your friends; they are your second family. When
you get to know each other, the confidence grows stronger and deeper.
And if you're with them on a retreat like this, you should expect an
emotional outburst. And you're with the ones you've chosen.
We need spiritual nourishment in a world where we need physical
nourishment. There is a healthier solution to certain events in life if
one is spiritually nourished. I learned that you can never rely solely on
your own knowledge. There must always be a higher level of
awareness that allows us to make better life decisions.

To summarize, it's an abbreviation for L-I-S-T-E-N, which was

also given to us. This time, though, it's from my own perspective,
based on what I heard at the retreat. I'll be eternally grateful for what
God has given me: a life of meaning. I believe in a God who is more
knowledgeable than I am. He is aware of both my flaws and my
assets. The pursuit of job performance, affection, popularity, and skills
isn't necessarily bad; however, when you're pursuing them to fill the
holes of existing wounds within yourself, the sense of fullness
extracted from acquiring those items fades easily. I trust Him to do
even more beautiful things in my life. This is one of my favorite lines.
