To whom it may concern:

This letter is to attest to the character of Joelle Reddin. Joelle and her family have been active
members in good standing of St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco, Texas since 2005, participating in
bible study programs, Kids Day Out, Faith Formation, MOMS (Ministry of Mother’s Sharing)
Groups, VBS and Sunday mass services.

In 2007, Joelle began her education as a student in our Kids Day Out preschool program where
she started to build a foundation of learning by growing in body and spirit. In 2008, she was
baptized in our church. Over the next ten years, she participated in weekly Faith Formation
classes where our students learn biblical teachings in good moral character, faith lessons and
preparation to receive the sacraments. Through her spiritual journey, she received the
sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. As a part of her preparation
for Confirmation, she further developed virtues of faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice,
temperance, and fortitude. That year, she completed over 15 hours of community service by
fulfilling spiritual and corporal works of mercy serving in the community by helping others.

Based on this beginning and strong foundation at our parish, I have confidence in vouching for
her character. I also understand from her parents that she is an excellent student at Lone Star
High School, captain of her swim team and a dedicated, driven athlete. I pray this solid spiritual
foundation continues to support her through this decision to pursue a degree of higher
education at Texas A&M University and career in education where she will teach and inspire
our next generation.

It is an honor and privilege for me as a deacon and senior staff member here at St. Francis to
recommend with highest distinction Joelle for this scholarship. Thank you for your careful
consideration and for the opportunity to demonstrate Joelle’s worthiness and merit.
