Painting Systems
for Masonry Surfaces
New Masonry
✓Let dry for 14 to 28 days under normal
weather condition before painting.
✓Apply BOYSEN Masonry Neutralizer B-44
(1:16 with clean water) by brush or roller.
✓Let dry overnight.
✓Sand surface to remove white crystals.
✓Make sure surface to be painted should be
clean and dry, free from all possible
contaminants.

✓Interior or Exterior use
✓Curing Time
✓Paint Compatibility
✓Required Preparation
Repainting
✓Remove loose, scaling and peeling paint.
✓Treat any mold or fungi infestation using a
fungicidal wash solution or household bleach
solution (1:3 with water).
✓Check paint compatibility.
✓For chalking old latex paint, use BOYSEN
Chalk Blocker B-7304. Let it stand for 24
hours before repainting.

Painting Schedule Service Conditions
Primer: Tannin may still appear
BOYSEN WoodPrime after one coat of BOYSEN
WoodPrime B-180. However,
Putty: it will not migrate to the
BOYSEN Masonry Putty topcoat.
