What is kahoot?
Kahoot is an assessment tool. It is
a quizzing platform where students
join separately on their own
devices, then answer questions as
fast as they can. It is a little
competitive, and students enjoy it a
lot!
Kahoots can be created by anyone
with an account to fit their needs.
The fun quizzes cover a wide range
of subjects, from math and science,
to general knowledge and trivia.
Because Kahoots can be created by
individuals, there are quizzes in
many different languages, making is
accessible to a wide range of
students.
How is it used in
the classroom?
● A quick informal
assessment
● Fun way to learn
● As a treat
● To have them take a
learning break

Any Subject or just for fun
● I would find or even
create a kahoot that
could have the standards
of the topic that im
teaching
● I have noticed kids get
very competitive so they
start to really try on
kahoot
● As a treat
● After a lesson to do a
short assessment
Miriam
Get to know the
teacher/students
● I would create a Kahoot
for students can try to
guess all about me
while at the same learn
about me.
● Then I would have
student create their
own kahoots so that one
day in class we can do
them and get to know
their peers.
Perrine
I used this Kahoot at the end of a
math lesson in my 3rd grade student
teaching. It was a good way to have
students practice their math facts
while still having fun.

In my class, I would use Kahoot most

often as practice for something
students have learned. It would be
an efficient way to check their
understanding and see if I need to
go back over some things.

I’d also use it as a fun reward at

the end of a difficult day...
Kasandra
Kahoot can be used many
different ways!
In my classroom I would use
Kahoot for:
● Quick assessments
● Fun trivia/ a quick break
from a lesson
● Creativity- having
students create their own
and share with the class
● Introducing a new unit
● Exit-ticket
