II. VHF RADIO ( 1 session )

Content :

- Familiarization with Function key


- Part of VHF Radio
- Knowing of VHF Radio Channel Master Plan and Entering the Channel
- Scanning Program
- Using VHF Radio for Communication.

III. PORTABLE VHF ( 1 session )

Content :

- Familiarization with Function Key


- Familiarization with Daily (rechargeable) battery, Emergency Battery, Battery
Charger and how to used
- Channel Memory call facilities
- Using Portable VHF for Communication

IV. VHF DSC ( 2- 3 Session )

Content :

- VHF DCS watch keeping frequency


- Updating vessel position
- Testing Procedure
- Viewing/Reviewing, acknowledging and rejecting Received message.
- Sending Distress Alert and message
- Sending Urgency Alert and message
- Sending Safety Alert and message
- Sending Routine/Business communication to selected station.

V. MF/HF RADIO (1 session )

Content :

- Familiarization with function key


- Part of MF/HF Radio
- Knowing of MF/HF Radio Frequency Master Plan and ITU Channel
- Entering Frequency by Manual or RCL button
- Using MF/HF Radio for communication

VI. MF/HF DSC

Content :

- MF/HF DSC watch keeping frequency for each band


- DSC frequency for inter-ship communication
- Sending Distress alert and message
- Sending Urgency alert and message
- Sending Safety alert and message
- Sending message to selected station or selected area

VII. MF / HF TELEX OVER RADIO

Content :

Knowledge to operate Telex Over Radio


- Sending Ship Business Message by Telex Over Radio
- Sending Distress Message by Telex Over Radio

VIII. BATTERY / POWER SUPPLY ( 1 session )

- Kind of sources power


- Capacity and duration of reserve of power supplies regarding SOLAS
