Introduction:
Let's build upon our coordination and vocal fold strength, by taking the
staccato "M" exercise one step further.
Coordination:
1) Bend the sound, by simply connecting those clean "M" sounds. Don't
concern yourself with trying to expel breath to create a sound.
Conditioning:
1) Let the pressure - or lack thereof - from the staccato "M" act as a point of
reference for your connected Legato "M".
*Remember, the clarity and resonance of the tone are what give the tone its
power. There is no need to tense the neck or to heave breath out.
Work with this lesson for at least 1 week, if not 2. The staccato to legato
"m" is a great exercise for building strength and coordination in the vocal
folds.

AApproach
Don't squeeze the "m" on the sustained tones. Let the short, staccato, "m"
sounds establish the pressure for the longer legato "m" sounds. Allow that
feeling to be your guide.
