CLIENT TAKES CONTACT WITH SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER (SDM), BY MAIL OR PHONE CALL, TO
SCHEDULE THE DATE OF THE REMOTE START-UP AND COMMISIONING GIVING THE NAME, E-MAIL AND
MOBILE PHONE OF THE REFERENCE PERSON AND THE NAME AND MOBILE PHONE OF THE CLIENT’S
ENGINEER THAT WILL PERFORM THE START-UP (PLEASE USE THE CLIENT’S CONTACT FORM ATTACHED)
IN THE MEAN TIME CLIENT WILL PREPARE MACHINES FOLLOWING THE WIZARD TO BE READY FOR
REMOTE START-UP AND COMMISIONG.
SDM CONTACTS CLIENT TO AGREE TOGHETER THE DATE OF THE START-UP AND DEFINES THE
SCHEDULED DURATION (N° OF DAYS). THEN, WILL INFORM CLIENT ABOUT NAME AND CONTACT
DETAILS OF PAGLIERANI’S ENGINEER ASSIGNED TO THE WHOLE SCHEDULED PERIOD FOR REMOTE
START-UP AND COMMISSIONING ACTIVITIES.

STEP 1 – PREPARATION
CLIENT:

- LAPTOP AND CABLE TO CONNECT TO PLC (IF EWON ROUTER MUST BE CONFIGURATED)

BY MEANS OF MOBILE PHONE A VIDEO PHONE CALL CLIENT’S TECHINICIANS SHOW THE STATE OF
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLING, WIRING CONNECTION ETC. TO PAGLIERANI’S ENGINEER THAT WILL
AUTHORIZE CLIENT’S TECHNICIANS TO PROCEED WITH COMMISSIONING OF MACHINES IF ALL STEPS
OF THE WIZARD WILL BE CONFIRMED.
ALL THE NEXT STEPS WILL BE DONE IN CONFERENCE CALL BETWEEN TECHNICIAN BY CLIENT AND
TECHINICIAN BY PAGLIERANI

STEP 2 – CHECK OF INSTALLED EQUIPMENT BEFORE ENERGIZATION
BELOW LIST OF CHECK:
Are the project elements (as listed below) checked and mechanically completed?
Is the plant installed as per the manufacturer’s instructions and YES NO
drawings?
Are all equipments and conveyors levelled? YES NO
Are the pipes for compressed air installed and connected to YES NO
machines?
Cable route installed? YES NO
Cables between Junction Boxes and electrical cabinet installed YES NO
and connected?
Are the safety fences installed and door microswitches YES NO
connected to main electrical cabinets?
Are the light safety barrier installed and connected to main YES NO
electrical cabinets?
Are all the safety panels of machines completely closed without YES NO
any access to rotating /moving parts of machines?
Are all electrical power connections installed? YES NO
NOTE 1: IT IS IMPORTAT THAT MACHINES WILL BE FIXED TO GROUND ONLY IN AGREEMENT WITH
PAGLIERANI’S ENGINEER. HE WILL CONFIRM WHICH MACHINES (OR PART OF MACHINES) TO FIX TO
GROUND AS, SOME OF THEM, CAN BE FIXED ONLY AFTER PRELIMINARY TEST WITH CONSUMABLES AND
PRODUCTS (EX: EMPTY BAGS MAGAZINE OR SAFETY FENCES CAN BE FIZED ONLY AFTER ALLIGNEMENT
AND TENSIONING WITH MAIN ELECTRICAL CABINET)

STEP 3 – MACHINES PREPARATION BEFORE ENERGIZE
Inspect the whole line checking that any component are damaged and/or bad positioned
Check if the oil in the lubricator is at the right level. The lubricators are installed in the pneumatic
filters group of the palletizer, packaging machine and weighing machine
Ensure there is no water in the pneumatic circuit (condensed) in the cup of the air filter, installed in
the pneumatic containers palletizer, packaging machine and weighing machine. Eventually drain the
condensation from the cup of the air filter by releasing the knob under the cup
Ensure all gearbox for electrical motors are filled with lubricant
Ensure all vacuum pump (IF PRESENT) are installed and connected with filter assembled and filled
with oil
Ensure that all protection gates / doors installed on the line are closed
Ensure that all protection gates installed on the line are closed
Ensure that weighpans of scales are mechanically unlocked from scale frame and connected to load
cells (SEE PROCEDURE TO UNLOOK THE SCALE IN THE OPERATION MANUAL)
Check and adjust the compressed air pressure (on pressure gauge) for each machine (points “P” on
general layout) to reach 6 ÷ 6.5 barg

STEP 5 - MODEM ROUTER EWON CONFIGURATION
IN CASE CLIENT HAS ALREADY SENT TO PAGLIERANTI ALL THE REQUESTED INFORMATION (SEE MODULE
“A”) FOR IP ADDRESS EWON IS ALREADY SETTED BY PAGLIERANI SO PLEASE PASS TO NEXT PHASE
IN CASE CLIENT HASN’T GIVEN TO PAGLIERANI ALL THE CONFIGURATION DATA PLEASE FOLLOW THE
BELOW WIZARD

MODULE “A” : WAN configuration (Module for end user)
eWon devices make a secure outgoing VPN connection to the Talk2M®
servers. The outgoing used ports by the VPN connection can be: UDP 1194 o
TCP 443 (HTTPS). eWon is able to authenticate via HTTP proxy server.
eWon uses the OpenVPN standard (SSL 128bit).
Further information about eWon 2005 device at eWon web site (2005CD datasheet).
Note:
1) eWon2005 is a router, so the WAN subnet must be different from LAN subnet
2) eWon 2005 LAN subnet and the maintenance PC subnet must be different.
3) Maintenance PC and eWon must have a correct (approx) date/time, due to VPN certificate validation
4) eWon does not support authentication through proxy java. In this case we suggest to open, on the firewall/gateway, a
UDP port for eWon. eWon supports NTLM proxy since firmware 5.6s3.
5) In case of VPN tunnelling blocking policy, we suggest to open, on the firewall/gateway, a UDP port for eWon

STEP 6 – CONSUMABLES CHECK
CLIENT MUST ENSURE THE PRESENCE OF CONSUMABLES AND PRODUCT IN ENOUGH Q.TY AT
LEAST FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF THE START-UP AND COMMISIONING PROCESS
To list empty bags dimension and material, reel dimensions to check by Paglierani’s engineer to be in
the manipulation range of machines

STEP 7 – REMOTE PRE-COMMISSIONIG
7.1 PAGLIERANI CHECK THE CONNECTION TO PLC AND TOUCH PANELS OF MACHINES TROUGH
INTERNET CONNECTION
7.2 PER EACH SECTION OF THE WHOLE LINE UNDER CONTROL OF OWN ELECTRICAL CABINET:
7.3 CHECK THE SIGNALS EXCHANGE BETWEEN PACKER AND FEEDING SYSTEM
7.4 CHECK THE SIGNALS EXCHANGE BETWEEN MACHINE COMPOSING THE LINE (PACKER/CONTROL
SECTION/PALLETIZER/WRAPPER/STRETCH HOOD)
7.6 SELECTION (TROUGH REMOTE CONTROL BY PAGLIERANI ENGINEER) OF THE SOFTWARE PROGRAM
“REMOTE COMMISSIONING” (IF AVAILABLE A SOFTWARE PROGRAM LIMITED IN CAPACITY WITH
MOVEMENTS STEP BY STEP)
AFTER CONFIRMATION OF ALL ABOVE STEPS, THAT MEANS ALL CHECK COMPLETED, PAGLIERANI’S
ENGINEER GIVES THE AUTHORIZATION TO CLIENT’S ENGINEER TO PROCEED WITH START-UP AND
COMMISSIONING WITH THE REMOTE ASSISTANCE OF PAGLIERANI’S ENGINEER

STEP 8 – START SEQUENCE TO WORK
To check all push buttons not pressed in local command panel and main electrical panels
Press the POWER ON black button on the electric panel of the check weigher.
Press the RESET SAFETY blue button on the electric panel of the check weigher.
Press the START CYCLE green button for about 5 seconds on the electric panel of the check weigher.
The belt of the check weigher line will start when the palletizer is in run.
Press the START LINE green button on the electric panel of the COMBI FS368 TWIN packaging line.
Press the RESET SAFETY blue button
Ensure that the STOP CYCLE sprung push-button isn’t pressed.
The machine execute a number of pre-start movements. At the end press the START CYCLE black button.
Ensure the presence of product on the charge hoppers placed above the packaging machine.

IN CASE OF PACKER MACHINES MODEL “DA” THE START-UP SEQUENCE IS THE FOLLOW:
The belt and internal ventilator of the oven tunnel will start and the temperature controllers will be
activated. From this point the temperatures of welding bar and oven tunnel will rise up until will be reach
the pre-set values.
DAXX PACKERS
Be sure that all “EMERGENCY” red/yellow mushroom push buttons aren’t pressed.
Press the “LINE ON” green push button on the electric panel.
Be sure that all safety gates/doors are closed.
Press the “RESET SAFETY” blue push button on the electric panel.
Be sure that “STOP CYCLE” mushroom push buttons aren’t pressed.
The temperature controller of the hot melt gluer will be activated. From this point the temperature will
rise up until will be reach the pre-set values.
